The Texas NIMS IAP is a free Google Sheets Application designed to help Texas Incident Management Teams (or anyone) complete an Incident Action Plan more rapidly. This version is customized specifically for Texas IMTs. The application includes standard NIMS forms, including the 202, 203, 204 (both FEMA & NWCG), 205, 205A, 206, 207, 208, 209, 211, 214, 215 (Fire), 215 (Non-Fire) 215A, 220, Weather, Briefing sheet and Cover page. It also has some limited resource tracking and assigned resource totaling. It can be used for any type of incident. NIMS IAP uses a standard Google framework with formulas, lookup tables, and open-source JavaScript to expedite IAP development. Multiple people can access the sheet simultaneously, allowing team members to work concurrently. This application is free to anyone in the emergency response/management field. It is widely used throughout the United States and in Canada. This project is funded by the Texas Division of Emergency Management.
The latest version of the IAP is shared as a link on this site to make sure everyone always has access to an updated, clean copy of the IAP. While the version accessible from the link below is view-only, you may easily copy it to your own folder and get full write access (providing you have a Google account). Detailed instructions are on the first page of the sheet. Feel free to share this as you see appropriate.
It is strongly recommended that before using this application on an incident, that you read the Help File (link above), have an understanding of formulas used in Google Sheets (almost identical to Excel), and that you play with this to learn how it can help you, and also learn its limitations.
